Wedding Checklist Planner
If you've looked at a few wedding magazines, you've probably noticed that their wedding checklists are... a lot alike. That's not their fault. Magazines need to print tasks for the most typical situations they can think of (since they don't know exactly who will be reading them) and they need lists that are short enough for the limited space that's available. But once you mark out the tasks you don't need, and the ones that are really obvious, what you're left with is probably useful, but not nearly as useful as you'd like.
The Organized Wedding takes a completely different approach. We have the most comprehensive database of wedding-related tasks available (over 700 tasks), but we don't dump all of them on you. Instead, when you start the program, The Organized Wedding takes a look at what events you're planning, when you're planning them, how far along in your planning you already are, and what religious faith(s) (if any) will contribute to your events — and then it builds a custom, one-of-a-kind task list for you. The results are more useful and appropriate for your events, your timetable, and your faith than any pre-printed (or pre-programmed) list could ever be.

The Organized Wedding scales the checklist to fit your time frame, whether that's 12 months (or more), or 8 weeks or less. (If it's less than 8 weeks, we hope for the sake of your sanity that you've already gotten started!) If you've already started your planning, we'll take that into account when we adjust the list for your time frame.
Not only that, but The Organized Wedding doesn't stop thinking about ways to help you once
we've created your list. It knows that while a lot of tasks are
things you need to do, some tasks are decisions you need to make — and
your decisions affect your other tasks. Professional musicians or pre-recorded
music? Will your reception be inside or outside? With any other
list, maybe a few of these decisions would be in the list, but
when you made up your mind, the list certainly wouldn't change.
With The Organized Wedding, it does. If you decide you'd like
to have a reception outside instead of inside, you tell the checklist
what you've decided, and tasks instantly
appear in your list for arranging lighting, arranging for cover
in case of rain, etc. Letting the program make changes to your
checklist may sound strange, but don't worry — all of the
changes go into one place, so that you can see exactly what we're
recommending and see how it fits into your plans. As you change
and refine your plans, the checklist keeps up, finding new ways
to help you. That way, the checklist always stays useful for exactly what
you're planning. Expert help for organizing your wedding,
automatically.
As you can see, we provide options for each task: you can assign a due date (and we'll remind you ahead of time if you want), and you can assign the task to someone specific. If you assign tasks to people, you can print out their individual "to-do" lists so that they know just what they need to do — and when they need to do them.
And, of course, you can add, change and delete items on the wedding checklist yourself, quickly and easily. It's your list. We just help more than the others do.
