Example Wedding Planning Checklist
The week leading up to the wedding:
Put the final payments (if any) and tips for your vendors and officiant into envelopes, label each one, and give them to someone else to hand out on the day of the wedding. |
Make sure everyone involved in the wedding knows when and where to meet (including for the rehearsal), and how they are going to get there. |
Make copies of the detailed schedule for the wedding day, and distribute them and a contact list to everyone who might need one (including vendors). |
If you have attendants, make sure that they know what they need to do. |
If you have a cake knife or server to use, give it to someone to bring it to the Reception. |
Bride and Groom: Pack for the honeymoon. |
Bride and Groom: Pack an overnight bag for the wedding night. |
Put everything you want to take to the rehearsal in one place. |
Collect everything that needs to go to the wedding in one place so that you can give it to someone to take. |
Collect everything that needs to go to the reception in one place so that you can give it to someone to take. |
Bride: Collect everything you need to dress for the wedding. |
Groom: If you haven't yet, pick up your clothing and make sure that everything fits right. |
Bride and Groom: Go through the guest list to learn any names you don't know. |
Groom: Collect everything you need to dress for the wedding. |
