Example Wedding Planning Checklist
On your wedding day:
Put the overnight bags for the wedding night into the getaway car or take them to the hotel ahead of time. |
Meet with the florist when they deliver the flowers for the Wedding & Reception. |
Take everything to the wedding site. |
Bring extra copies of the detailed schedule for the wedding day, and hand them out to whoever needs one. |
Set up all the wedding decorations. |
Set up all the Reception decorations, including place cards and/or table cards if you have them, centerpieces, and so on. |
Bring the marriage license to the wedding. |
Make sure everyone has their bouquet, corsage, etc. before the wedding. |
Give the bride's ring to the best man and the groom's ring to the maid of honor. |
Bride and Groom: Remember to take a deep breath occasionally, relax, and enjoy your wedding day! |
Have the officiant, the bride and groom, and two witnesses sign the marriage license. |
Guard your house during the wedding. |
Check the wedding site to make sure nothing has been left behind, clean it if necessary, and lock up if necessary. |
Take down all the wedding decorations, if you're not donating them to the wedding site, and take them to the reception or home. |
Move flowers from the wedding site to the reception site. |
Bride and Groom: Make sure to spend some time with your parents today, and thank them. |
Bride and Groom: Spend a few minutes together by yourselves, and exchange your gifts. |
Bring the cake knife and/or server to the Reception. |
Guard your house during the reception. |
Keep track of any gifts brought to the reception and take them to a safe place afterwards. |
Distribute the envelopes with final payments and/or tips to the vendors. |
Check the reception site to make sure nothing has been left behind, clean it if necessary, and lock up if necessary. |
