Example Wedding Planning Checklist
This is part of the task list that The Organized Wedding generates for a wedding with no religions selected. (If you tell the wedding planning software that your wedding will be based on one or more faiths, it customizes the list to make it appropriate for the faith.) When you're actually running the wedding software, you can double-click on most of these tasks to see more information and advice. When you double-click on any task in the wedding planner software, you can change many aspects of the task, including:
11 to 12 months before the wedding:
Begin picturing your wedding and other events. Formal or informal? Big or small? Etc. |
Find out specific requirements of your religion, officiant, and wedding site. |
Select an officiant. |
Start using a notebook or file folder to hold everything related to your events. |
Start roughing out the budget. |
Start looking at wedding sites (this may depend on your officiant or reception site). |
Start looking at reception sites. |
If you want to hire a wedding planner or consultant, start interviewing them. |
Start researching vendors you'll want to hire. |
Start delegating tasks on this task list to people. |
Start working on your guest list for the wedding and reception. |

Decide on a wedding site and reserve it as soon as possible. |
